From Munch to Slettemark
The art of Edvard Munch - with its expressive, experimental and surreal tendencies - has been a great inspiration for many successive artists.
This is especially to be found in German expressionism with artists such as Erik Heckel, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff and Emil Nolde, in addition to the Danish continental CoBrA-group with Asger Jorn in the leading position. Artists from the sixties including, Per Kirkeby and Kjartan Slettemark, concludes this presentation of 200 works from the modern Nordic and Northern Europeian painting.
The exhibition is organized by the Munch museum in cooperation with Canica Art Collection
