The museum collections in KODE 4 are closed from 1 September 2020, and until further notice, as the building is to undergo a major refurbishment.

We have only one floor open, with the exhibition The Queer Gaze at display.

The architects of this museum building were Fredrik Arnesen and Arthur Darre Kaarbø. In 1938 it opened as an administration building for the electrical powerplant company. In 2003 it was restored and opened as a museum.

At KODE 4 you will also find Lysverket, a restaurant specializing in seafood. The restaurant Lysverket is open.
