Craft 2014

Exhibition Craft 2014 aims to present the best of Norwegian contemporary craft.

For the first time in many years, this annual exhibition of the Norwegian Association for Arts and Crafts (NK) will only be shown in Bergen. Here you can experience brand-new works by Norwegian craft artists, with a guaranteed wide range in form and content.

273 artists applied to participate in this year’s exhibition, sending in approximately 900 art works. 49 works by 36 artists was selected after the second round of jurying during the first week of September. The artists have been challenged to contribute site-specific works.

NK’s annual exhibition has been held in recent years at the National Museum for Art, Architecture and Design in Oslo / Museum of Decorative Arts and Design. This is the 37th time it is being organized.

State Secretary Bjørgulv Vinje Borgundvaag, from the Norwegian Ministry of Culture, will officially open the exhibition on Friday September 19.
