Desire

In which ways do contemporary artists express sexuality and lust in their work?

14.06.2012 til 16.09.2012

The sexualized individual is a recurring theme in popular culture, coming to expression through films, advertisements, newspapers, journals, internet blogs, video diaries and other media. Such phenomena reflect today’s attitudes towards sexuality, gender and the body, but how is sexuality expressed in contemporary art?

This exhibition seeks to challenge and expand the viewer’s gaze in an area where art can be groundbreaking.
